Aims of the Programme:

The Semester of Year 3 of Engineering aims to equip students with strong foundation in computing subjects such as computational thinking, dynamic web programming and artificial intelligence. Aims of the Programme:

The focus in this semester of Year 3 of International Business is on developing the student abilities to provide in-depth work and lead with advanced tools and techniques in a multinational business or international start-up. It will provide an advanced level in business and management principles from a UK and international perspective, as well as analysing and evaluating contemporary issues related to internationalisation and globalisation.

  • Employability skills with the ability to critically reflect and apply them with optimal outcomes – students learn about and develop a wide range of skills that employers value, such as teamwork, communication, critical and creative thinking, intellectual curiosity, and project management.
  • Perspective and experience – students develop a wide range and advanced learning on global issues and projects.
  • An in-depth study into international relations and international media to critically apply this knowledge into a constantly changing world.

Y3 International Communications

Aims of the Programme: 

The Year 3 of International Communications programme is designed to equip future strategists to build a strong brand and grow a business in a digital world. This programme will provide the necessary knowledge for anyone who ambitions to work in an international environment, no matter if it is in a start-up, an agency, a local or global business. From brand and creative strategy to storytelling, sustainability and event management, student will have the opportunity to learn from experienced lecturers working in some of the most creative, award-winning networks and London based agencies.

This programme offers students:

 • Up-to-date skills – Brand, Business and customers’ needs and expectations are constantly evolving. With this programme, students will learn new skills required to meet these new needs (i.e. visual culture, luxury marketing and sustainability) and how to apply them in their career right away.

• A focus on digital and innovation – the pandemic has changed the way a business operates. This programme has a focus on digital experiences and innovation to get students ready to navigate in what might become the future of marketing (Metaverse, gaming, immersive technologies, DTC)

• Opportunities to learn by doing – the lecturers will offer their feedback, guidance, and experience during interactive sessions, where students will be encouraged to apply what they will learn through workshops and teamwork. In particular, students will be working on a real life brief during a full week, teaming up with Creativity students and presenting their advertising campaign recommendations to client/agency.

• A cultural and professional experience abroad – students will experience the British culture and the life in London. They will also learn the specificities of the country when it comes to media trends, lifestyle and working environment via multiple visits.

Y3 Internation Creativity

Aims of the Programme: 

The Year 3 of International Creativity programme is designed to equip future art directors and copywriters to build a strong brand and grow a business in a digital world. This programme will provide the necessary knowledge for anyone who ambitions to work in an international environment, no matter if it is in a start-up, an agency, a local or global business. From creative thinking to art direction, copywriting, design and film, students will have the opportunity to learn from experienced lecturers working in some of the most creative, award-winning networks and London based agencies.

This programme offers students:

Aims of the Programme:

The Master’s in Finance semester in London aims to equip students with in-depth grounding in the field of corporate finance and private equity. The breadth of modules offers the opportunity to gain deeper practical insights and provides links to London’s financial ecosystem.

The highly interactive sessions, led by experienced practitioners in corporate finance and banking, focus on developing core skills and strong problem-solving skills applicable to a wide range of careers across the financial sector, including audit/accountancy, M&A, private equity and finance within a corporation.

  • A distinctive broad curriculum – students gain detailed knowledge of the operations and activities of the banking industry, private equity and alternative investments, exposure to specific industries (real estate, infrastructure, and renewables) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues in banking. Students will also review in detail some of the key Corporate Finance products including M&A, equity & debt capital markets, corporate restructuring and distressed debt.
  • An applied experience – students work on applying knowledge of core and specialised aspects of the finance industry on case studies relevant to today’s corporate world developing relevant skills required in problem solving.

The Master’s in Finance semester in London aims to equip students with in-depth grounding in the field of investment management and capital markets and aims to impart a broader understanding of the global financial markets. The breadth of modules offers the opportunity to gain deeper practical insights and provides links to London’s financial markets ecosystem.

The highly interactive sessions, led by experienced practitioners in investment banking, asset management and related fields, focus on developing core skills and strong problem-solving skills applicable to a wide range of careers across the financial sector including sales and trading, research, private equity and asset management.

  • A distinctive broad curriculum – students gain detailed knowledge of the operations and activities of asset & investment management, sales & trading and the banking industry, in addition to private equity and alternative investments.  Students will also review in detail some of the key principles of institutional investments, the workings of equity & debt capital markets, derivatives & options, and an understanding of alternative investments.
  • An applied experience – students work on applying knowledge of core and specialised aspects of the finance industry on case studies relevant to today’s corporate world developing relevant skills required in problem solving.  In addition, students will have the opportunity to learn about sustainable finance, and the principles behind investment decisions that consider environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.

This programme offers students:

  • Perspective and experience – students relate the learning to global developments and to both London and UK perspectives.
  • Greater knowledge of a range of essential theories, principles and practices related to international business such as effective organisational management and leadership, key legal frameworks, mathematics that underpin financial models, sales techniques, and more.

  • A distinctive broad curriculum – students engage in experiential, experimental and collaborative learning through a variety of modules. Students experience an intensive week of a diplomacy game, themed around Middle Eastern security and geopolitics, intended to act as an immersive and innovative way of thinking through the issues that the region faces.
  • An enhancement of employability skills – students learn and practise a wide range of skills that employers are looking for (teamwork, communication, critical reflexion, intellectual curiosity and organisation). There will be a strong emphasis on developing critical thinking skills and the ability to engage in debate, research, and construct logical and persuasive arguments. Students will also have a valuable opportunity to build contacts in business and academia.
  • A perspective and experience – the opportunity to relate what students learn to global developments and to learn from London and British perspectives and experiences.
  • An emphasis on the control and dissemination of information, highlighting issues such as online propaganda, radicalization, and conspiracy theories; OSINT; censorship; corporate control of the media; privacy concerns, surveillance technology, and “smart cities”; and the challenges and opportunities facing modern journalism.
  • A course on world religions offering a mixture of historical information and discussion with a focus on exploring and understanding modern-day London-based religious groups and subcultures such as the Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, ISKCON, Sufis, etc. The requirement to personally attend a service or ceremony held by one of these groups and to interview participants afterwards will build the students’ confidence and help them understand other perspectives.
  • Study abroad experience – students develop their autonomy and practise their English skills by living in a foreign country and attending classes taught entirely through English.
