OMNES Education and the SOS Group launch PACT: 10,000 students immersed in social, societal and environmental structures
OMNES Education (formerly INSEEC U.), the French leader in private higher education with 12 schools and 30,000 students, and the SOS Group, Europe’s leading social enterprise, are launching the “PACT” program, Citizen Action Program. The objective? To offer 1,000 OMNES Education students an immersion in the heart of the social, societal and environmental work of the SOS Group structures in order to discover this sector and its challenges. By 2025, 100% of the first-time students in OMNES Education schools, or 10,000 students, will be involved in the program each year.
Today’s students are tomorrow’s professionals and therefore play an essential role in our society to meet future social and environmental challenges. They are the new actors of the transition of our economic, ecological, social and environmental models and as such are expected by the companies and organizations of the social and solidarity economy to respond through their actions to all these issues.
For an optimal preparation for active life, these students are looking for keys and experience to transform their desire to help into concrete actions in the service of the general interest.
From January 2022, 1,000 students at the beginning of their studies in four OMNES Education schools, ECE, INSEEC Grande École, HEIP and Sup de Pub, will be offered, in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux, an immersion of several half-days spread over two months, at the heart of the associations and structures of the SOS Group: homeless shelters, reception facilities for exiles, solidarity grocery stores, agro-ecology development associations, integration workshops and work camps…
This partnership aims to be a lever of commitment through local action, for the new generations who wish to get involved in social, environmental and civic issues in favor of the common good. PACT also responds to a desire to transmit values and knowledge between the GROUPE SOS teams, the beneficiaries of the structures, and the students of OMNES Education through job fairs and conferences on the SSE professions.
