What is an Event Manager in the luxury industry?

The Event Manager creates, organizes and coordinates all internal (seminars, annual lunches etc…) and/or external (trade shows, symposiums, conferences etc…) event projects. It is in constant contact with the various stakeholders. The Event Manager plans the project, elaborates the budget, creates the communication around the project, and negotiates with the different providers. It is a multi-faceted job and the Event Manager is involved throughout the project: from its upstream implementation, to its realization and up to the post-event analysis. The Event Manager has a central organizational role.

What is its role, its missions & its daily life?

An Event Manager identifies the needs in order to define the orientation of his event project(s). It establishes the specifications and objectives of the event(s). The Event Manager details and negotiates the budget allocated for the realization of the event(s). It also has the role of bringing all its expertise and creativity to define the means to be mobilized. The Event Manager is also in charge of planning the different tasks to be carried out to ensure the good realization of the events.

Once the direction of the event has been defined, he will take care of the realization of the project. To do this, the Event Manager selects and supervises the service providers who will intervene on the day of the event. He coordinates the steps of the organization of the event and its animation (choice of the place, the speakers…) and makes sure of the good respect of the deadlines. It also organizes the supply and logistics associated with the event. The Event Manager is also in charge of proposing a communication plan for the event. And he will be present on the day of the event, to ensure the smooth running of the event.


Once the event is over, the Event Manager collects and analyzes the feedback and satisfaction of the participants. It draws up the financial balance sheet related to this event, analyzes and measures the impact of the event that has been set up.
